Al-Taj News – The Yemeni Armed Forces said early Sunday that they were carrying out strikes against the Houthis in the capital, Sanaa, and the group’s stronghold in Saada.
A spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces said the forces were targeting what they described as “vital targets,” without providing further details.
The Houthi-affiliated Al Masirah TV channel had reported that Saudi Arabia launched an attack on the capital, Sanaa. There was no immediate Saudi confirmation of the report.
The conflict largely came to a halt after a 2022 truce, but fighting broke out again as part of the broader war between Iran and the United States.
Hostilities resumed this year after the Houthis announced a naval blockade on Saudi Arabia in July and began attacking Saudi territory and ships.
Saudi Arabia responded by launching airstrikes in Yemen and supporting government forces fighting to repel the Houthis.
